How do I Register?


1. Fill out our registration form.
Your completed registration form will magically end up in our inbox.  
You'll then receive an email requesting proof of vaccination (as well as proof of spay/neuter for dogs older than seven months).

 
2. Come by for a Meet & Greet. 
Once your registration form has been reviewed AND you've emailed us your dog's vaccination/health records for verification, you'll be contacted to schedule a date and time for a Meet & Greet.  "Meet & Greet" is our fancy way of saying "free day of daycare."  You can usually expect this return call from us within 48 hours after receiving your pet's vaccination information. 

All of our guests must successfully complete their “Meet & Greet.” This is a very carefully designed process to ensure that our guests are compatible with this type of environment. It allows us to identify dogs with any sort of aggression, or dogs who struggle to manage the ordinary stresses associated with a group-play environment. During the M/G, your doggy will be very slowly and carefully introduced to a variety of selected doggies at a pace that he/she is comfortable with. Your dog will remain with that small group of dogs over the course of the entire day. That’s right…this evaluation lasts the entire day! Remember that this day is absolutely FREE. It costs nothing to have your dog play with us all day long to see if this type of environment is right for him/her!
 
YES.  A "YES!" means that your dog is now part of The Barker Lounge® crew!

NO.  A "NO" means that this environment just might not be agreeable with your dog. Some dogs are too shy, some are too macho, some are too young, some are too old, some are too "inappropriate," some just don't want to be here. Whatever the case may be, we are simply doing what's best for the health and safety of your dog and all of the others in our care.

NOTE: Meet and Greets can only be scheduled at the facility which you intend to use.

Please keep in mind that we cannot accept any reservations prior to the successful completion of the Meet & Greet.  

 
Seeing as though safety is our number one priority, all dogs are always very carefully supervised by our certified staff of animal lovers...all who have been thoroughly trained in canine communication, group dynamics, canine health & safety, and everything else necessary to safely manage your dog with the greatest amount of care possible. In addition, we use our very thorough screening process to allow only non-aggressive dogs into our facility. Despite these screening procedures and the dogs being handled with the greatest amount of care and foresight, dogs are not always predictable and do not always get along. If a dog who has passed the screening process begins to display any form of unacceptable behavior, we do our best to work with that dog through the behavior. If the behavior cannot be resolved, we reserve the right to kindly ask the dog not to return.

Contract
This is a contract between The Barker Lounge and pet owner whose name appears below (hereinafter called "Owner").

Owner acknowledges and agrees that, despite all the dogs appearing healthy and being handled with care and foresight, participation in an open play environment, daycare, boarding, grooming, bathing and other related services at The Barker Lounge is not without some risk. Exposure to our open play environment as well as daycare, grooming, bathing and other related services may result in injuries including but not limited to: cuts, bites, scratches, abrasions, puncture wounds, injuries to paw pads, contraction of contagious diseases and/or parasites, tracheobronchitis (kennel cough), stress, loss of appetite, behavioral issues, diarrhea, sprains, fractures, broken bones, insect bites, allergic reactions, weight loss, eye injuries, hot spots, bloat, and death. Owner acknowledges that Owner is aware of the risks and hereby confirms Owner's acceptance of the same.

Owner hereby waives, releases, forever discharges and agrees not to sue The Barker Lounge, its employees, owners, agents, related entities and/or The Barker Lounge Franchising LLC (collectively "The Barker Lounge") for any and all claims, damages, liabilities, suits or losses of any nature that arise or occur while Owner or his/her dog are on the grounds or the surrounding area or under the supervision of The Barker Lounge, or resulting from participation in The Barker Lounge activities or programs, including specifically, but not limited to, any injury or damage resulting from the action of any dog(s), injuries suffered during open play, daycare, boarding, grooming, bathing or other related services. Owner acknowledges and agrees that Owner shall be fully responsible, financially and otherwise, for any harm, damage, claim, liability or loss caused by Owner's dog(s) while Owner's dog(s) is/are participating in open play, daycare, boarding, grooming, bathing or other related services at The Barker Lounge, including but not limited to paying any medical/veterinary expense incurred as a result of injury occurring on the grounds or surrounding area of The Barker Lounge or caused by any confrontation among dogs while in the supervision of The Barker Lounge. Owner further agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless The Barker Lounge as herein defined arising out of the provision of services by The Barker Lounge and/or the presence of Owner or his/her dog in facilities or programs operated by The Barker Lounge. The duty to indemnity shall arise at time of claim and includes the costs of defense. Where controlling law limits the scope of permitted indemnification, this Agreement is amended to the maximum promise of indemnity allowed by law.

Owner gives The Barker Lounge permission to obtain all vaccination and medical information from any veterinarian who possesses such information. Owner further gives The Barker Lounge permission to seek veterinary care for Owner's dog(s), at Owner's sole expense, at the veterinarian of its choice, as The Barker Lounge deems necessary, in its sole discretion.

Owner agrees that his/her dog(s) is/are in good health, and will not bring any animals to The Barker Lounge if they have been ill with any communicable diseases or parasites in the last 30 days. Owner further represents that the dog presented for care or supervision by The Barker Lounge has not previously bitten or attacked any person. Any dogs found with fleas or any other parasites will be treated, as deemed appropriate by The Barker Lounge, in its sole discretion, at the expense of the Owner. If, for any reason, a Barker Lounge representative transports your dog to the veterinarian, Owner will be responsible for transportation costs, including a reasonable gas and mileage fee and an hourly charge for the representative who transports your dog.

Owner agrees that photographs, recordings, or any other images, may be made of Owner and/or his/her dog(s) by The Barker Lounge Franchising LLC, its affiliates and its franchisees and that such may be used for any purpose without compensation, including but not limited to advertising, marketing and/or promotional activities. Owner hereby releases, assigns and transfers to The Barker Lounge Franchising LLC and its affiliates all rights that he/she may possess or claim to such images, recordings, etc.

Terms: Payment is required when services are rendered. At times, a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit may be requested in order to make your boarding reservation. These deposits are final at the time of collection and cannot be refunded or applied to other purchases, regardless of when the reservation is cancelled. The Barker Lounge accepts cash and all major credit cards.

Agreement to Pay: Owner agrees to make prompt and complete payment upon discharge of the animal. Owner accepts and understands that if there is a failure to pick up the dog left in the care of the Barker Lounge within six days of notification to the Owner's address listed below, said animal will be considered abandoned, and subject to re-location or other measures allowed by law. Owner acknowledged that abandonment of any dog in the care of The Barker Lounge does not relieve Owner from financial obligation both with regard to fees and payments due to The Barker Lounge and the costs for animal re-location or other disposition. Owner further understands and accepts that in case of nonpayment, Owner will be subject to all billing, finance and or reasonable collection charges (including attorney's fees )incurred in the collection process.

By signing this registration form, you indicate that you are the owner, or the agent of the owner, of the aforementioned pet, and are authorized to release the pet to the care of The Barker Lounge.

You also indicate that you understand the policies, procedures, and schedule of fees as stated on The Barker Lounge website, and affirmatively, voluntarily and expressly consent to the release and other terms set forth in this contract.

The Barker Lounge reserves the right to add to, update, and change these policies, procedures, and schedule of fees from time to time without notice. Continued use of our services after any such changes shall constitute your consent to such changes.
